Dog Behaviour Consultation
Shadow is an ex racing rescue Greyhound (6 years old) who had never lived in a home until he came to live with us in August 2016. At first he seemed fine, but his behaviour became more and more demanding up to the point that he would bark and cry constantly for attention at night resulting in us getting no sleep. This went on for a few weeks until the situation had become desperate and Shadow really was on the verge of being sent back to the kennels we got him from.
However at that point one of my work colleagues recommended that we contact Jo Croft and we are incredibly glad that we did. Jo came to our home the day I called her (the situation really was that desperate) and she was with us for about 3 and a half hours, but that was all it took to set us all on the right path. In just that short time Jo taught us how to handle Shadow, and manage his extreme anxiety, to the extent that even on that first night we got more sleep than we had done for weeks. Not only does Jo provide you with the knowledge and confidence to deal with your dog in difficult situations she provides great after support by phone and e-mail.
5 weeks on our situation has improved so much that we can hardly believe we were actually going to send him back! Shadow still gets anxious in certain situations and his rehabilitation will be a long road, but we all sleep peacefully through the night and he is much calmer since Jo’s visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Jo to anyone who needs help with their dog, she really can make a huge difference and we are very appreciative of her help.
